Different from traditional general-purpose cranes that focus on material handling, non-ferrous metal smelting-specific cranes are “production partners” deeply embedded in process production lines – they use the electrolysis production process as the anchor point and are seamlessly coupled with core processes such as electrolysis, smelting, casting, and refining, becoming a key fulcrum to ensure process continuity and improve production line efficiency.
According to the differences in application scenarios, it is mainly divided into two types: one is an aluminum electrolysis multi-functional unit specially designed for aluminum smelting, and the other is a special process crane adapted to the smelting of copper, zinc, lead, nickel and other non-ferrous metals.

Aluminum Electrolysis Multifunctional Overhead Crane
The aluminum electrolysis multifunctional overhead crane integrates core electrolysis process operations such as shelling, anode replacement, slag removal, feeding, aluminum tapping, and lifting. It is a key equipment in a large-scale prebaked anode electrolytic aluminum production line.
Weihua’s newly developed new three-girder aluminum electrolytic multifunctional overhead crane is equipped with an industry-leading 600kA large-scale aluminum electrolytic tank. Weihua Electrolytic Copper Special Crane
The electrolysis-specific crane is a high-precision intelligent equipment specially designed for the electrolysis process. It integrates core functions such as picking and placing cathode and anode plates, and transporting residual plates to the washing unit. Its design positioning accuracy is as high as ±2mm, and it supports three modes: fully automatic, semi-automatic and manual.
The supporting HMI operating system can display coordinates, status and fault information in real time, and the operation is flexible and controllable. The whole machine has undergone special insulation and anti-corrosion treatment, is resistant to DC electric fields and acid mist corrosion, and can adapt to harsh working conditions. It is equipped with a special spreader and can realize functions such as simultaneous lifting of cathodes and anodes, single lifting, single action of tail hooks and starting plate arrangement, etc., to facilitate unmanned operation of electrolyzers.
Weihua nickel can transfer special crane
Nickel tank-specific cranes are specially built for nickel-iron smelting scenarios. With the advantages of high temperature resistance, high precision, high efficiency, high reliability and intelligent integration, the entire set of products has become the core equipment for improving the quality and efficiency of nickel smelting production lines. It is widely used in laterite nickel ore hydrometallurgy (RKEF process), high-ice nickel smelting and other production lines, and undertakes key operations such as efficient transfer of high-temperature tanks and equipment hoisting.
This series of products has strong high temperature resistance and can directly resist the radiant heat of roasted sand and high-temperature granular metal, ensuring safe operation in extreme environments. Weihua Metallurgical Gantry Crane
The complete set of intelligent lifting equipment for the copper smelting slag slow cooling field consists of core equipment such as metallurgical gantry cranes, gantry spray trucks, electric flatbed trucks and moving platforms. It integrates the triple certification strategy of infrared cameras, millimeter wave radar point cloud recognition and weighing, and uses the WCS system combined with absolute encoder redundant positioning and magnetic nail calibration technology to achieve millimeter-level precise positioning.
