All electrical components of the outdoor gantry crane adopt fully sealed waterproof design. The electrical cabinet, hoist motor, limit switches and cable systems are equipped with IP55 high-level waterproof protection, which can effectively block rainwater, dew and splash water from invading the circuit. The whole machine is fitted with a rainproof top cover and sealed wiring ports, avoiding short circuit, motor burnout and control failure caused by water ingress in rainy and foggy weather. The festoon cable system is specially protected to prevent water accumulation and aging in outdoor humid environments.
Aiming at high-temperature outdoor working environments in summer and tropical areas, the crane is equipped with a dedicated high-temperature heat dissipation system. The motor and reducer adopt heat-resistant H-class insulation materials, which can maintain stable working performance under the ambient temperature of up to +50℃. The structural steel and coating materials have high temperature resistance, no softening, peeling or aging under long-term sunlight exposure, ensuring continuous and stable operation in high-temperature open-air yards and construction sites.

For cold northern and alpine outdoor environments, the crane adopts low-temperature resistant steel plates and special low-temperature lubricating grease. The main structural components are treated with low-temperature toughening process, which can resist brittle fracture at -20℃ low temperature. The electrical system supports low-temperature startup without delay, and the hydraulic and transmission systems can operate normally in cold weather, avoiding equipment stalling and component damage caused by low temperature.
The whole steel structure undergoes Sa2.5 grade shot blasting rust removal treatment, matched with high-performance anti-corrosion coating system (epoxy primer + chlorinated rubber topcoat). All fasteners such as bolts and rail clips adopt hot-dip galvanized or stainless steel materials to avoid rust and corrosion. For coastal high-salt-fog environments, optional marine-grade anti-corrosion treatment is available to resist salt erosion and atmospheric oxidation.
In terms of wind resistance, the crane is equipped with multi-stage wind protection devices including rail clamps, anchoring devices and windproof cables. It can resist strong winds of Beaufort scale 10-12 during operation, and the upgraded coastal model can adapt to scale 13 strong winds, effectively preventing crane tilting and sliding in outdoor open environments without wind barriers.
The fully sealed structural design prevents outdoor dust, sand and sundries from entering the equipment interior. The anti-aging coating can resist ultraviolet radiation, delaying surface fading, cracking and aging, and greatly extending the service life of the equipment in long-term outdoor exposed state.

It is forbidden to start lifting operation in extreme weather such as thunderstorms, heavy rain, typhoons and strong winds exceeding the equipment’s wind resistance limit. After rainy days, check whether there is water in the electrical cabinet and whether the traveling track is slippery, and perform lifting operation only after confirming safety. In high-temperature seasons, regularly check the heat dissipation of the motor and electrical components to prevent overheating damage; in low-temperature seasons, preheat the equipment for 3-5 minutes before formal operation.
Daily check the sealing state of electrical interfaces, rainproof covers and anti-corrosion coating, and repair peeling coating and damaged seals in time. Regularly inspect windproof devices such as rail clamps and anchor bolts to ensure flexible and effective use. Lubricate the operating mechanism regularly with special outdoor lubricating grease to prevent rust and jamming of transmission components. Clean the dust and sundries on the equipment surface and electrical cabinet frequently to ensure good heat dissipation and insulation performance.
Strictly prohibit overload lifting and oblique pulling of heavy objects to avoid structural deformation and safety accidents. During outdoor long-distance traveling, ensure the track foundation is flat and firm to prevent equipment shaking and tipping. After daily operation, fix the crane with windproof devices, cut off the power supply, and cover the key electrical parts with protective covers to avoid long-term exposure to wind and rain.
If the equipment is idle for a long time outdoors, perform comprehensive anti-rust treatment on the steel structure and transmission parts, and regularly start the equipment for trial operation to prevent component aging and seizure caused by long-term static placement.
Q1: What outdoor environments can this gantry crane adapt to?
A1: This series of gantry cranes is specially designed for outdoor open environments, adapting to construction sites, port terminals, coastal yards, logistics warehouses, steel plants and other scenarios. It can work stably in high temperature, low temperature, rainy, dusty and salt-fog corrosive environments, meeting the long-term outdoor operation needs of various industries.
Q2: What is the lowest and highest operating temperature of the outdoor gantry crane?
A2: The standard operating temperature range is -20℃ to +50℃. We can customize ultra-low temperature resistant (-40℃) and high temperature resistant (+60℃) models according to customer’s regional working conditions to meet the operation needs of alpine regions and high-temperature tropical areas.
Q3: How to ensure the safety of the crane in strong wind outdoor environments?
A3: The standard crane is equipped with rail clamps, anchoring devices and windproof cables three-level wind protection system, which can resist 10-12 level strong winds. For coastal and open wind-prone areas, we can upgrade the wind resistance structure and add wind speed alarm devices to realize real-time wind speed monitoring and automatic wind protection locking, ensuring equipment safety in strong wind weather.
Q4: How long is the service life of the outdoor gantry crane in corrosive environments such as coastal salt fog?
A4: With standard C5-M anti-corrosion treatment, the service life of the equipment in conventional coastal corrosive environments can reach 15-20 years. For severe salt-fog environments, after adopting customized marine-grade anti-corrosion coating and all-stainless-steel fasteners, the service life can be further extended, and regular anti-corrosion maintenance can effectively delay equipment aging.
Q5: Does the outdoor gantry crane require special daily maintenance compared with indoor models?
A5: Yes. Outdoor equipment is affected by wind, rain and ultraviolet radiation, so it is necessary to regularly check the waterproof sealing performance of electrical parts and the integrity of anti-corrosion coating, and inspect windproof and anti-slip devices regularly. It is recommended to do a comprehensive weather resistance inspection every quarter to eliminate potential faults caused by environmental erosion.
Q6: Can the parameters and configurations of the outdoor gantry crane be customized?
A6: All core parameters including lifting capacity, span, lifting height, voltage, wind resistance grade and anti-corrosion grade can be customized according to customer’s on-site working conditions. We can also configure intelligent monitoring system, anti-collision device and remote control system to meet personalized outdoor operation needs.
