2,400 Ton Gantry Crane Completes Heavy-load Test

On July 3, 2026, the 2,400-ton long-span single-girder gantry crane manufactured by Weihua Marine for Wison successfully completed its heavy-load test.

Hierdie 2,400 ton gantry crane features two 2×600-ton upper trolleys and one 700/50-ton lower trolley operating on the same rails, with the upper and lower trolleys capable of passing each other. It offers a maximum rated tandem lifting capacity of 2,400 tons across the entire span of the main girder. The crane will operate in coordination with the base’s existing Weihua 1,200-ton gantry crane to fully support the end-to-end operational requirements—including transfer, final assembly, and commissioning—for heavy components such as offshore engineering equipment and large-scale offshore modules.
